Whether you’re unhappy with the results of your facial contouring treatment or have had an undesirable outcome such as lumps or migration of the filler outside of the treatment zone, we can reverse the treatment.

Lots of patients have their facial contouring treatment dissolved, often to erase the previous work and get back to a blank canvas. Once the filler is completely dissolved, and swelling has subsided – usually, after about two weeks – it is safe to have treatment again in the same area if you wish.

FAQ’s

Is it safe?

The treatment is very safe when carried out by a trained and experienced practitioner. As with any injection, it is possible that you may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. These may take 2-3 days to resolve, and bruises sometimes longer.

What happens during the treatment?

On the day of treatment, your doctor will confirm the treatment plan, take you through the consent process and take some pre-treatment photographs. We will carry out an allergy patch-test on your arm to check that you are not allergic to the enzyme. The area of treatment will be cleaned, and numbing cream will be applied.

This may be carried out over various appointments, depending on the area and the amount of treatment that needs dissolving.
