Tear Trough treatment
Under-eye treatment, Fairfield, Melbourne
Tear trough treatment, also referred to as under-eye treatment or dermal enhancement, is a popular solution for tackling tired eyes and dark circles. The tear trough is the area between your lower eyelid and cheek. As we age, we can experience volume loss in this area, which can cause dark circles and hollows, giving the appearance of fatigue, and poor health and can often make you look older than you really are.
At the Dr Rakib Clinic, we perform tear trough treatments at our clinic in the most natural way. We can restore volume in the tear trough to plump and smooth the skin. In addition to tear trough filler, we may suggest a treatment plan that includes strengthening the upper cheek to support the tear trough area in combination with the tear trough itself for the best result. Dark circles and hollows will be diminished to give a youthful, refreshed, and revitalised look.
Under-eye treatment is an effective and long-lasting treatment that does not require any downtime. The treatment also addresses fine lines and wrinkles and boosts collagen production by hydrating the area from the inside-out.
Who is suitable for tear through treatment?
Under-eye treatment is an excellent option for anyone who has:
- Tear trough
- Sunken eyes
- Dark circles around the eye area
- Tired looking eyes
- Eye bags
What happens during treatment?
The tear trough treatment treatment is a simple, quick and painless procedure. We will firstly mark up the areas to be treated before injecting the hyaluronic acid (HA) gel into the target area.
What results can I expect?
Tear trough dermal enhancements are an excellent way to lift and re-volumise the skin under the eyes. Results will last for 6-12 months, depending on the product used and your unique metabolism. After this time, a top up treatment will be required to help you maintain the enhanced look for a longer period.
Is there any pain or downtime?
Following treatment, there is little to no downtime, and you can resume your normal activities straight away. We use treatment that contain a built-in anaesthetic (Lidocaine) to alleviate any sensations during the treatment. A numbing cream can also be applied to the targeted area to further minimise discomfort.
