Lip enhancement augmentation, Fairfield, Melbourne
Lip enhancement are one of the most highly requested aesthetic treatments in Australia. They are a popular non-surgical treatment to boost the shape, definition, and volume of the lips via subtle injections of dermal lip enhancement. As the effects of ageing take hold, lip volume depletes, leaving a thinner, flatter appearance. Lines form around the mouth, the lip corners turn downwards, and the cupid’s bow loses its definition, resulting in an overall tired and aged appearance.
Whether you’d like to reverse the signs of ageing, improve imbalances, boost hydration, or enhance volume and definition, lip enhancement are a safe and effective non-surgical solution to deliver enhanced lip volume, texture and contour.
As with all our treatments at the Dr Rakib Clinic, we aim for a natural and subtle enhancement that suits the unique proportions of your face. Whilst we appreciate that a luscious pout conveys youth and beauty, we believe lips can look full and lump without looking obviously ‘done’.
What part of the lip can be treated?
Lip enhancement can be performed in many different areas of the lips:
- Vermilion border or lip outline – for creating definition, width and improving lipstick bleeding lines
- Lip augmentation targeting the fleshy part of the upper and lower lip – for volume, pout, and fullness
- Cupid’s bow – to add definition and contouring
- Oral commissures or lines going down from the sides of the mouth – for a younger and fresher
- To lift marionette lines (sad lines from the corner of lips downward)
What happens during treatment?
Before treatment commences, the skin will be cleaned, and numbing cream will be applied. Once the lips are numb, we will start the treatment. The process of injection is usually no longer than 10 minutes. After treatment, we will apply aftercare cream, massage the filler and show you the results.
What results can I expect?
The effect of the treatment is immediate, and the longevity of results will often depend on the area treated, the product used and individual metabolism. On average, most patients will only need to repeat the treatment once every 9-12 months.
Is there any pain or downtime?
The treatment itself are not painful. We provide numbing cream, injections and skin cooling to minimise discomfort. As with any cosmetic treatment, it is possible that you may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. These may take 2-3 days to resolve, and bruises sometimes longer.
