Fat dissolving treatments use a product to break down fat cells in the body. They utilise the same mechanism that our body’s use the break down our diet, using a weak acid to dissolve fat molecules. Fat dissolving treatments are licensed to dissolve the fat of the double chin area (sometimes referred to as the ‘submental’ region), the jowls, and bra fat (fat that overhangs your bra line).

The main benefit of the treatment is the reduction of stubborn fat deposits in specific areas of the body without requiring surgery. The fat cells that are dissolved during the treatment are permanently destroyed meaning the results can be long-lasting.

Fat dissolving treatments require a minimum of 2 sessions to start seeing results – although they are usually seen 6 to 8 weeks after the second session.
