HOW LONG DOES FACIAL CONTOURING TREATMENT LAST?

The results can be seen instantly. The effects of dermal enhancements depend on numerous factors, such as the area being treated, your age, your skin type, and the type of filler used, but  generally the effects last between 6 to 18 months, and sometimes longer.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENTS TO WORK AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

It can take up to 7 to 10 days for the treatment to start working, with maximum peak at 14 days. The effects last on average for three to four months.

HOW DOES WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENT TREAT CLENCHED JAW MUSCLES?

Wrinkle reduction treatment works to relieve the jaw muscle tension and pain. It can eliminate headaches, teeth grinding, and lockjaw by relaxing the muscle that unconsciously creates such stress. This will also help to slim the jaw muscles over time.

CAN WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENT HELP WITH MIGRAINES?

Wrinkle reduction treatment has been proven to work effectively in reducing episodes of migraine. It is very important to note that migraine should be initially investigated by a GP and rule out causes such as cluster headaches or headaches caused by other neurological diseasw. It only works to treat migraine related to muscle tension.  These migraines usually feel like a pressure squeezed around the forehead, temples or back of the head.

HOW MANY UNITS OF WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR MIGRAINE TREATMENT?

There are specific areas of wrinkle reductions injections to treat migraine according to standard protocol. A minimum of 31 injections are performed around forehead, temple, back of neck and trapezius muscle. The doses can be between 150 to 155 units.

What is Bioremodelling Treatment?

Bioremodelling treatment is a non-surgical treatment for skin rejuvenation that uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. The treatment is injected into the skin to improve its texture, elasticity and hydration. It is often used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity on the face, neck, and hands. It is a non-invasive treatment that does not require any recovery time.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS AFTER A LIP PROCEDURE?

Bumps – Occasionally bumps can occur due to lip enhancements and depends on the type of treatment used. Most of this are small bumps and can be massaged out. It is yery important to massage the filler post injection. However, in rare scenarios if the bumps are large, it can be dissolved with a small amount of dissolver.

Swelling 

Swelling is quite common post lip enhancement treatment. At the initial stage patients love the swelling as it gives a nice plump look, however swelling subsides within 3-5 days and it takes about 2 weeks for the filler to integrate with the tissue. ICE can be applied to help with the swelling and remember if you have swelling once doesn’t necessarily mean you will have swelling again. 

Bruise 

Some people are presdisposed to bruising more than others. We advice to refrain from alcohol, anti inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, fish oils and vitamins 24 hours prior to your treatment. Bruising can last 3-5 days, however if it is prolonged please come back for a review. Over the counter arnica cream or pills can be used. 

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER TREATMENT WITH DERMAL ENHANCEMENT?

After the treatment, you may experience bruising, redness and swelling in the areas treated, which may last up to a few days. 

In the first few days post treatment, you should avoid rubbing or touching the treated areas. Avoid heat induced work such as exercise and sauna for first 24 – 48 hours. 

Also refrain from putting makeup for 12 hours.

No flying for 1-2 weeks

CAN I HAVE A TREATMENT DONE IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREAST FEEDING?

We are unable to provide any wrinkle reduction or dermal enhancement service if you are currently pregnant. 

In regard to breastfeeding – I would not recommend breastfeeding when receiving treatment. The safety of treatment during breast feeding has not been established yet. Please consult your local paediatrician prior to engaging in any cosmetic services.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS FROM WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENTS?

Wrinkle reduction treatments are tolerated in the vast majority of individuals without any side effects.

Most people will experience mild discomfort during the procedure, and may have redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites. This usually settles within a few hours, but if you have bruising it can take longer to settle.
Rarely if the toxin migrates to wrong muscles patient may experience brow droop or eyelid droop which will improve once the toxin wears off.

 

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

It is important to note that both doctors and patients time are valuable. Please respect our cancellation policy and make sure that you cancel ahead of time if needed!

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you will forfeit the deposit fee of $50.

How much Bioremodelling treatment will I need?

It is recommended that the bioremodelling treatment is done over 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart. 2mLs is administered during the first session and then in a month, you come back for another 2mLs.
